Deepavali: Festival of Lights Report
The meeting held on 29th Oct 2008 started at 6.45pm sharply.
In the month of October that is filled with celebrations, the theme of the meeting was thus "Deepavali: Festival of Lights" to share the happiness of all our Hindus friends! The word of the day was "incandescent".

1. TM Marziana: Speech #4 - A Lesson
TM Marziana has taught us a very good lesson. By telling us about one of her bad day, she managed to bring out the message of "Ignorance", a thing that all of us should ponder about. Good message behind the speech!
2. TM Idzhan: Speech #4 - Special Raya
TM Idzhan, the soon-to-be groom has shared with us his "findings" of the special moments and extraordinary things that happened during the recent raya. I wondered whether some maybe due to the pre-wedding symptoms? Hmm...
3. TM Ridzuan Speech #5 - Que...
TM Ridzuan has told us his story about "Queue". Of course, it was not only "told", but he has made use of the appropriate body gesture to enhance his speech. Obviously, everyone enjoyed his story.
4. TM Survinne Speech #6 - Togetherness
TM Survinne managed to capture the audience attention by telling us a very sad story of an about to broken marriage. She has utilized the vocal variety and she has stunned the audience. Great job!
Table topics:
It was the highlight of the day when CC Hadzrin conducted the table topic session with an Indian accent. He was not only testing on the speakers impromptu speaking skill but also their listening skill! The brave souls that took up the challenges were TM Idzhan, TM Chong Jin, TM Ridzuan and TM Zakiah. The session went well and a great round of applause for the TTM and speakers!
Evaluation:
We were very honoured to have the special guest, Asst Div W Governor, Education and Training, DTM Soh Fong Wai to be our General Evaluator. Thanks for the comments and suggestions! We have taken note and will strive to improve our future meeting.
